While this makes a great sound bite, I doubt it will impact the lifestyle of even the most frequent ATL traveler.
I like a number of the airport art pieces at DIA -- the propellers that turn as the train whooshes through the tunnel, the "artifacts" embedded in the floor, the kitschy "vacation memories" map, and most especially the remains of the Mayan temple (that used to have vines, sigh) out in the concourse. The amount of money spent on the art is minor, but given the number of hours I've spent waiting around the airport (sometimes with a kid in tow) I'm thankful for all of it. (Other than the demon blue stallion with the blazing red eyes that still surprises me when I drive in at night, though I do take comfort that it killed its maker.)
