Milan is nice, especially if you can fly into LIN, but my preference would be for Zurich - I just like the feel of the city with its compact center, very nice museums (excellent modern art collection), and the really easy transport system (especially with Zurich card) that enables you to go to some nice surrounding areas. Disclaimer: at PH Milan I did not have brkfs....
