Generally, I have fun reading the US airport security stories from the other side of the Atlantic, knowing that I have been able to avoid flying there since 2003.
But now it’s getting so ridiculous that I start to believe that I have been reading some soap-opera, some big hoax, a story written week by week by a group of FT members to tell people tales of an imaginary security agency called “TSA”.

Going through the airport asking people to test their drinks (for “we will not tell you what”) using paper strips, and – worse- most people accepting it “because it keeps us safe”. No script writer could come up with it without making himself the laugh of the day.
For those of you that are still sane: I really feel for you guys to have to undergo this. ^
For all the others: get a life!
May I ask what additional security measures have been placed on travel on Spain’s train system after the bombs placed by the al-Qaeda (sp) supporters killed all those folks on the train system?
I was also looking over the data on Spain over at the Global Terrorism Database site (
Here) and found that Spain still has a very active terrorist population conducting operations within its country. Are they doing anything to protect their citizens from these criminals?
