I can think of at least three potential types of combustibles at the airport:
1) Jet A.
2) Materials in aircraft cabins have been modified to reduce flammability and toxic smoke, but have seating/carpet inside the gate?
3) Pax attending the security theatre.
Seriously, fire "exits" that delay function for 30 seconds, especially in public buildings, sound dangerous to me. Thirty seconds can be a long time in either fire progression or crowd control. My community first-response team training has never mentioned these; perhaps they're not legal in my state.
If I light a fire in my fireplace, 30 seconds after I strike the match I expect it to be burning well enough to shut the firescreens.
