It can be worth keeping an eye out for StarClass sales on Jetstar from time to time as well. Last week they had StarClass on sale from SYD-DPS for $499 each way including taxes, so less than $1000 return. Given the small cost difference between that and the JetSaver prices, especially once you add in luggage, food and entertainment and plus earning business class miles and SC's instead of earning nothing it turns into decent value (plus of course a better seat too ).
