Actually, that's not true. A US Green Card
does make a difference. A passenger holding a valid US Green Card (or a number of other instruments indicating the right to enter a 'friendly' country) is exempt from the requirements for a Direct Airside Transit visa.
So as long as she stays airside she should be just fine.
