if you want comp. upgrades UA is not an option out of JFK. They have suspended upgrades on their p.s. service JFK-LAX

DL is hard to clear on this route on Silver. Although that being said I was 100% as a silver last year on the JFK-SFO BE 757-200. Always the last to clear at the gate, luckily all five times someone did not show up.
