Thumbs down dragonair / CX mess up on a snowy beijing morning

i thought i was iimagining this nightmare...!!...but glad to know you had 10 hours !...

i was 8 hours in the plane + another 4 + hours the next day ! all becos of the heaviest snowfall in beijing in years and i had to be at the airport leaving for HKG

i was on the dragonair from Beijing to HKG on the 3rd jan 2010 leaving at 10am......we all boarded at 10 30 ...despite my apprehension .....and stayed on board until 6 + pm ...the plane was de iced at some point and actually moved but was told thaat the truck pushing it had broken down and we were left ,...i imagine ..in the middle of nowhere ...and was told we had to deice again...which is fine since the time after the initial de icing was a while ago ...then after a long wait .....when we were disembarked

thinking we would be given accomodation or food upon our return to the terminal we left the plane in goood spirits ........

and it just went downhill from there......NO ACCOMODATION and NO FOOD and NO DRINKS .......there wasnt even any directions or instructions given about where to go !

finally by word of mouth and hearsayy ...we collected our luggage ..and proceeded to the dragonair counters where we were told something has been arranged and the management would be there........

BOY WERE WE WRONG !

to cut a long story short ..we stayed overnight at the terminal and was told to check in at 5 am for the 7 am flight to HK but the counters only opened at close to 6 am......

we boarded the flight at 7 45 or therabouts and it didnt take off until almost 4 hours later.............

another 4 /5 hours in HKG airport because the CX staff and the Dragonnair staff decided that its suddenly 2 different airlines which it is ..although many of us were on CX onward flights from HK........

what gives ? and any redresses ?

i amm still pretty traumatised !
