Within the last month, there has been no elite pre-boarding announcement on ORD-LGA, LGA-ORD and ORD-SFO flights I've been on. I have presented myself for boarding after First Class anyway and have been told that the flight is "too full" to allow elite pre-boarding. The obvious problem with this is that elites, who have seats toward the front of the plane, are the most likely to not have overhead space. Any thoughts or suggestions? Is pre-boarding a "right" of elite flyers?
