Don't take too much notice of the speed warnings. The enforcement regime varies widely by State, eg:
Victoria: Exceed posted limit by 1km/h and have your testicles removed and vehicle impounded (or as good as).
NSW: Police will tolerate 10% above the posted limit as a minimum, however this only applies to police enforcement - not fixed cameras. On roads posted at 110km/h in NSW you will not be pulled over unless you exceed 125km/h.
As a foreign national, ignore the infringement notice unless you plan to return to Australia and get caught speeding again. That's what I do when overseas.
However - be warned - Australians cannot drive to save their lives. You will find some of the worst lane discipline and vehicle spacing in the developed world. You will also be frequently dazzled by front and rear fog lamps in clear weather - even in broad daylight.
