jetstar and QF status credits

i'm looking at booking to bali from Sydney. Getting totally confused about the status credits. If we book either jetsaver or jetsaver light (wouldnt go light anyway as we'll have baggage) it looks like we might not get any points or sc's - is that right? Its nearly twice as much to pay for jetflex and of course more again for starclass.

I dont see the point in paying that much more for jetflex just to get sc's but the we may as well look at other airlines. have i got this right?

and does it make any difference going via the qantas website (which is likely to direct me to jetstar anyway for final booking) or the jetstar one?

The strange thing is the same flight on the QF website (jetsaver) is $464 a leg whereas on the jetstar website its $387. so would this mean that we would earn sc's with the QF booking after all? I dont mind paying that kind of premium for points, just not several $100 each.

thanks for your tips..
