Thanks for the replies guys.. My friend says that she still owes Citibank the $ on her cc and that was why she was worried that her miles could be deemed worthless. She offered to transfer them to me, but it will cost over $600 + tax and fees to transfer 60K of her 90K miles available. I told her to keep it in the account. She might use it to visit friends in europe this spring..
