I just tried to make an online saverpass Y award reservation AUS/HKG leaving tomorrow.

1 Reward 65,000 Miles
Ticket Taxes/Fees $43.00
Total Price 65,000 Miles and $43.00

So it looks like no "Close in Fee" but $43 in taxes
