Sorry, Kage, we seem to be having difficult with our communications lately.

The food at Banjaar Tola, Kanha, and at Baghvan in Pench was superb. They have an Executive Chef who has created the menus for all 4 camps and regularly goes around to check on his chefs. Great attention to detail, super fresh produce, often just picked. Very inventive presentation, but food nevertheless entirely approachable, even for a first timer in India. Obviously, guests should not expect hamburgers and club sandwiches, but if you have a food intolerance then this is absolutely no problem. What I liiked was how they had completely different venues for every meal - always a real surprise.

It is always difficult to compare the service of an Aman with the service of anywhere else, as it is so unique. For me, the best Aman service in India is at Amanbagh. Aman-i-Khas is OK, but it depends who is running it at the time. There is some good long-stay staff there, so well trained and sharp these days.

Many of the senior staff at Banjaar Tola are from Amanbagh, so the place has a very warm heart and service in my experience is excellent - better than Baghvan, which can be a bit untutored at times.

ALL the safari guides are superb - brilliantly trained and highly intelluigent naturalists, so in this respect, I was more impressed with the Taj safari experience than with Ranthambhore.
