Halkin and knightbridge ......ild sooner die of boredom ....
i ld like to suggest
1 /
DUKES [ same management as aldwych ] for the mayfair /soho part of town .....
and
2/
LOWNDES [ jumeriah] knightbridge/belgravia/ chelsea part of town
and do have a look at
sohohouse portfolio......to see if their new properties are opened. by the time you get there........dean st for the heart of SOHO [ YUCK ! - very scary place in the late 70s /early 80s...!

]
and .....
metropolitan and connaught could be options too
the list you had ...could do with some ....adjustments

Leaving One Aldwych aside for a moment (I would not put it into the "No no" category) - Dukes is very nice, but not, on whatever standard you are suggesting, luxury. I have never stayed at the Lowndes - but I have never found that particular group's properties outside of the UAE very good (Essex House anyone ?). Agree that the Met and the Connaught could be considered.
