Imagine if every time someone asked for Paris advice we told them to read a guidebook rather than ask for personal recommendations and experiences...

Sorry our responses were not satisfactory. You might have helped by giving your timetable as well as where you were going in Paris. I gave the answer I did because I might have suggested the Air France Bus if you were going to be located near one of its stops; perhaps another shuttle if you were going some place else.
Curious as to why, after someone apparently gave you information you did find helpful, you didn't share it. One thing people don't do enough on Flyertalk is provide feedback. What advice was good and what wasn't? Time after time people ask for advice and then never bother to share what they learned or what worked.
