Yes, I would rank the Pen ahead of the SL Club.

My schedule in MNL was very hectic from very early morning to very late evening so I would have no opportunity to avail myself of the lounge, which I generally view as the key (only) benefit of a club floor. I believe that club lounge access is available to any room at the Pen for a fee.

Most of my meeting this time were in Makati - and location/commuting time trumps everything in MNL. I did however have dinner at the Sofitel --- this time by the pool and it was wondeful. One of these days, I will try the Sofitel !!!
