These fields are not for travelers to worry. There are other fields that the travelers cannot even see. People put in their requests and other information and CX or TAs will take care of them.

My earlier posts was a response to the FQTS and FQTV fields. I did not intend to get too deeply into these. Normally, travelers have their FF cards and there will not be an issue. OP seems to worry about the effect of traveling on CX with the loss of his AA Gold card. I personally have not encountered the same situation. Perhaps OP can follow the suggestions by other posters. There is no need to update these fields yourselves. The way to do it may also vary from airline to airline.
