If you have a Chase credit card, check out their Rewards Plus program. It gives statement credits of about 2-5% on hotels, $2-2% on airlines, and 2-3% on rental cars (assuming you book through an eChannel such as Travelocity).

Not the best deals, but you don't have to wait to get your money back as it credits it to your account.
