Hi all,

My parents are traveling to the United States late in the spring and they will need to fly some of the domestic sectors on United since the timing is the most convenient among the three Star Alliance carriers. They hold Thai Airways' Royal Orchid Plus Gold Card. However, when trying to book the tickets for the flights they want, united.com only allows me to book W booking class only, as of now. W class on United cannot earn any miles with Royal Orchid Plus, unfortunately. Therefore, I am wondering if there is a way to book V class or higher at all so as to earn miles. Should I try calling the UA reservation or somewhere? Thank you very much.
