A simple Google search of Jet Airways, codeshare, & American Airlines will get you your answers, as will the aa.com.

Only a handful of certain non-stop flights to major cities are AA codeshares (think Bangalore, Mumbai, etc.), and as such, will earn elite qualifying miles just like any other AA flight.

And yes, these will involve landing at night (9:45pm, IIRC) on AA's flight ex-ORD, yet not being able to leave on a domestic one until the next morning.

Other flights on Jetairways will earn AAdvantage miles, but these won't count toward your elite status qualification for this year. They can be used for AAward travel.

The other AA codeshare on jet Airways would be ex-BRU, usually as a continuation of an AA transatlantic.
