I agree that they have a policy against this.

Delta is a smoke-free airline. Use of tobacco products is prohibited on all Delta-operated or Delta Connection carrier flights systemwide.

Plus it is in Sky Magazine so it has to be true!

Personally, it is pretty nasty watching someone spit into bottle and smelling the dip for any length of time.

The same thing can be said for someone farting all flight or drooling down their chin as they are snoring or picking their nose.

Those poor tobacco users always get picked on!

Maybe the OP should have gone renegade on the guy. He could have picked his nose and wiped it on his side of the arm rest and then belched in the middle of a conversation with the guy. Turn about is fair play.
