MC stating basically the same thing. The e-cert must be used within its 6 months of usability, not just attached to a reservation within that timeframe.
What he said (and MC too of course).
I understand why you'd think it would be since it allowed you to link, but as was pointed out, you could find points deducted from your account when the system finally realizes the cert is no longer valid. Up to you on whether you want to take the chance/try the experiment.
