I am planning a flight LAX-MRY (Monterey, CA). American Eagle uses a SAAB 340B on this flight. For all you AAmerican Eagle folks, are there any tips on seating on this little plane? Do the exit rows make any difference in leg room? Should I sit on the single seat side? What about the first row (row 3 on the seat map?). What about carry-on luggage space?

For all left coasters, should I just fly into SJC and then drive to MRY?
