Yes, in PHL.
I was questioned in detail about my trip to Iran, and then they went through my luggage, my occupation, what I was doing there (skiing), the reason for having various maps of California in my luggage, what my plans were, etc. Pretty stupid stuff, given that this was many years after my trip to Iran.
I was in the US for a camping and driving trip around California.
Just wait til I check off Syria and Libya and Yemen. That will get them all crazy.
But in all honesty, the airport you enter the U.S. can make a difference. An Iranian visa in a passport won't turn heads at LAX, a Syrian or Yemen visa probably is pretty common at DTW, and the officials have seen everything in New York of Washington.
Oh, I'm a US passport holder.
