Poor policy by BA in my opinion. In fact having to pay for seat allocation at all in CW is rather cheap.

I know some people don't like the policy and I'd rather not get into the rights and wrongs of having to pay - as we both know it's a contentious subject. But BA are not the only airline to hold preferred seats back for elites and it was that I was referring to in my earlier post.
