How many flight nos. can a code share flight accommodate?

I'm currently sitting in my Cairo apartment monitoring, courtesy of BAA's Heathrow website, Mrs PtF's BA155 LHR-CAI boarding progress.

The process is not made any easier by having to wade through masses of 'flights', some of which are actually the same flight masquerading under different flight nos.

The 'best' I've come up with so far is the LHR-MAN flight no. BA1396, aka AA6467, IB7678, JL5349 and QF3396 (i.e. 5 no. flight nos.)!

Having also just searched 430 no. 'code share' FT BAEC threads I can't find any previous discussion on this particular issue.

Am I the only one who finds the whole concept of multiple flight nos. for a single flight to have got out of control?
