In Paris, I would recommend the Marriott Courtyard Neuilly.

It is a few few blocks from the subway in a nice suburban area. But, at the same time, a few blocks walk and you are close to some very nice restaurants and shops.

At the same time, this Courtyard is nicer than most full-service Marriotts I have been in. I have stayed there 6 times in the last 6 months. Looks very new (I would guess only a couple years). Absolutely fantastic service!
