Thanks, that helps. I have never before noticed the box that says "I am one of these passengers" (to check or uncheck on that page) and was always able to book in the past - now it must default to a check mark claiming to be one of them. The miles are actually coming from either my husband's account or my Dad's but it would be for a single ticket - they would not be flying along with me.

I will go into the page and check now - but there IS inventory at some point in time for non-Medallion flyers at the 25K mileage level, right, just less availability and options? If so, I guess those flights could be booked from their accounts the way we did it in the past? How do Medallion members usually acquire an award ticket for another (friend, family, whatever) without actually flying with them?

Edited to add - I went back through the screens to try to make a reservation - did not see the box to check or uncheck to indicate I'm not the Medallion pax (to see "normal" award flight availability). . .
