As far as mix-matching you can mix the following way as far as I know ..

note: AS and QX can mix with anyone (this can be quite useful if you need to "hop" to another city in the US before starting/ending your journey), otherwise the following can mix:

- DL and NW
- AF and KLM (city hopper flights are ok)
- BA mixes with no one
- AA mixes with no one

I believe others don't mix either, but only ones I know for sure are the ones above
