Yes, I do something similar as well with my Apple AirPort Express wireless router. After it finds the hotel network and the light turns green, I can log on from my MacBook as can my girlfriend from her own notebook. On the two occasions where I had two colleagues travelling as well and they got an adjoining room, they could search for my private Network signal and get their notebooks online as well. Since I am Diamond Gold Passport, I get free internet and so does everyone else on the network!
That seems interesting. I think you just made me buy one of these portable routers and I'll go with the Apple one since it's bound to be more reliable? . The thing is that I'm using a Windows laptop but that shouldn't be a problem, should it?
