It does look like the hotel is not playing fair. The opted into a promo but do not have rooms that qualify. I also tried to book using this year's MC promo and was told no rooms were available, now I see why. I think SPG owes those of us that tried to book and could not an apology and possibly compensation. And the SIN St. Regis deserves a severe slap on the wrist from SPG.
Playing fair? The hotel did have these rooms available... just not now because they are all booked up, whether by paying customers, or massive MC redemptions.
Compensation? Is everyone going to ask for compensation for room availability that a property doesn't have.
Slap on the wrist? With all due respect, maybe it is the person that didn't book the room in time that deserves a slap on the wrist.
