Being Elite I have slight chance to move up front for the YVR=HKG segment and the A-340 is more convenient because of the seating arrangement (2-4-2 compare to 3-4-3 for a 747.) Will have to deal with the 747 on return...

Ticket will be issued with a V fare so I should be able to upgrade the YUL-YVR portion.

Any recommendation if I should fly YUL-YYZ first and connect to AC 11 with a stop in Vancouver or fly YUL-YVR non-stop on a A-320 and connect with AC 11 in YVR.

If I get an upgrade betwenn YUL-and YVR is this posted as C class and counting for the new promo? Is the AC 11 YYZ-YVR would be considerd 1 segment for the upgrade + 1 segment for the Transpacific portion?
