Unacceptable! To translate for you ... the first message they sent is a polite way of them telling you 'it's not your account, so it's none of your business.' It could be an unpublicized benefit that they don't want the masses to know about.

If you really want to get to the bottom of this, you need to call and demand to speak with a supervisor...
