To not rain on anyone's parade, but my friends flew on Icelandair last summer from JFK-REK and they both vowed to never fly on Icelandair again. They had to pay for food/drinks and the seats were extremely uncomfortable for a transatlantic flight. However, the food/drinks issue shouldn't be the case on the SEA-REK route, because it is significantly longer than JFK-REK.

^ I have a trip to NYC in Mid-Feb and hopefully I will be able to select preferred seats online at booking.

This is huge for CA based MVP/Gs. Our options on AS is extremely limited [domestic mainline] and this will enable us to enjoy some of the nice benefits when we are not flying on AS. RECIPROCAL ELITE SECURITY LANES would be awesome, especially out of SFO and LAX.

In this scenario, AS will lose more revenue than DL/AA since there are far more DL/AA elites than AS.... Hopefully, they will be able to work out a deal [even if it is only one bag] with either airline. Kudos to AS for trying to make this happen! ^

Neat-o, it should be awesome for PDX based fliers and I hope they will be able to attain whatever goal they have for the Oregon region!

Hopefully, they will have something in the mix for CA in terms of mainline expansion.... There are times where I am questioning myself if I am a sucker for not going with AA/DL/UA... I guess I admire AS too much to jump ship.

Suffice it to say that upgradable fares, the upgrade queue, MVP designation of a family member/friend were all listed as benefits - but again, I don't want to misstate something that will later turn out to be wrong.
75K BIS EQMs or does that include partners? Will there be a million-miler level to attain lifetime "75K Gold" [2 million miles or so]?

MissyDarlin or someone who was at the luncheon! Spill the beans to us! What are the bennies for the "75K Gold" tier?!?! Any major highlights? Will there be any changes in MVPG and MVP benefits to make way for the new tier [I hope not]?
