Heck, at over 2 hours each way I might as well fly us myself
I used to fly EWR-RDU pretty regularly on CO. Over the past 2 years, the 737s have been phased out on this route, and it has been Q'ed up. My big beef with all the Qs (other than the fact I don't really want to be on a turboprop on a flight over about 250 miles) is that CO will really delay the Qs if there are any problems at EWR. And there are usually problems at EWR in the evenings. In my experience, the 5pm-ish departure that used to be on a 737 would depart on-time or within about 30 minutes. Now that the 5pm-ish flight is on a Q, it usually leaves 1-2 hours late. The gate agents at RDU tell people if they want to make an international connection, the latest flight they should book is the noon-ish departure.

I have voted with my $ accordingly. I book on another carrier, or I book a less expensive fare on CO, like EWR-CLT.

CO, please return some 737s to this route!

And don't hold your breath for these flights. I've had several 738-->Q400 equip changes after I booked EWR-RDU tickets!
