Not a current issue for me as I ended up buying PAYG. One advantage is that PAYG numbers stay active for 6 months. Then all you have to do is send one text or, if you are out of the country, top up the minimum 10 pounds. So for 20 quid a year potentially you could keep the number active, although you wouldn't get that many calls!
