Sorry to provide UA info here..
United's business class award used to be 100K but they have raised it to 110K. It is a moot point for now since they did not fly to India recently (they announced plans to resume service). Last time I checked with United my options were to use two awards with Lufthansa (using 185K miles) or Thai (130K miles) or Singapore (I do not recall the exact figure but it was around 140K miles). I do not think that you want AA to be "competitive" here given that both the atlantic and pacific routes on Star Alliance need significantly more miles than those on One World.
Capacity control is a much bigger nuisance than blackout dates. Even as a (former) 1K member with United with blackout dates waived, I ran into capacity controls for the business class section.
