AA miles are worth 50% less on BA

BA RT USA-India business class award is available for 100,000 miles from the BA FF program. However even the PlanAAhead award on the same route is 150,000 with the AAnytime award being 300,000 AAdvantage miles. So it seems that AAdvantage miles are worth (50-200%) less than the BA miles for travel on BA. Incidentally, BA has no black-out dates though there are capacity controls.

I am having second thoughts about this One-World alliance. You cannot earn miles on each other's trans-Atlantic routes, there is a huge difference in the milage requirements and so on..
