I travel with a Toshiba Satellite U305 S2804 or a Toshiba Satellite A104 S4164 laptop. There is no consistency to the airlines I fly - American, United, Delta, Air France, Lufthansa - you name it. I am truly confused by all the plug in options with the airlines and don't have a clue what is safe to use. I am trying to avoid purchasing $150 worth of connectors if it is not necessary. I have found tons of info but can't seen to easily sort through it for my needs.

Can anyone direct me to one place where I can get concise info on what I need? I know I need an Empower adapter for United and Continental but what do I need to plug into that adapter?
