Hello all seasoned fliers,

I have a very tight connection at PVG, arriving DL789 at 7:20PM, clear custom (not going to check any bags), run from T2 to T1, board a China Eastern flight that departs at 9PM (I was told check-in closes 40 minutes before departure, and that's the last flight to CAN for the day).

I have been watching this DL789 very closely these days, trying to use past statistics to predict my chance to missing the connection, so my questions are:

1. Take the example of 1/18 flight, how come a 7-minute late departure results in a 30-minute late arrival?

2. Most importantly, where can I find out the statistics of a particular flight's on-time performance? Flightstatus.com didn't say much.
