Should BA ask for your username and Password?

I just called BA about my on business account, with regard to some flights being posted and not receiving the correct points. However the Guy on the other end of the phone did not know and kept going off to someone else, after 24 mins of waiting he came back and asked my username and Password. I replied "don't be so stupid" He took great offence to this asked me to repeat what I said, so I did there was no swearing and it was all said calmly, he then said he was going to hang up and make me call back to someone else. I then appoligised and said i would not give my password out just like I would never give a bank employee my password or pin no. In the end he agreed, and said he would have to get Connie the on business contact to give me a call back, but he still did not give me his name.

So has anyone else ever been asked for there username and password fore their BAEC or on business account?

It seems a strange request as I'm sure if miles from my account got spent I would have trouble sorting that out. I do also use the same password for different things (not all the same, but different ones for different levels i.e. one for most forums 1 for email accounts, 1 for low level security BA, virgin etc, and most secure for physical cash, like banks.) but it still seems a strange request.

thanks
JoeJet (thats not my real name or part of any of my passwords!!!)
