I have never in my life seen anybody (even the Angolans who are quite anal about this) cross-reference the document number on the Innoculation Certificate to the passport. The most I have seen them do is check name and validity and then wave you through. Name and DOB that correspond to valid passport should be sufficient even if there is a mismatch with an expired document number.
