I think I suggested upthread that I fully support moves like this. Assuming the connections work, this would probably enable to do transport myself between PDX and HGH faster and with less hassle than any other option (i.e. NRT connection doesn't work very well, nor does SEA-ICN+). From east coast origins that have flights to AMS, but not Asia, it's even more of a slam dunk. <<Unfortunately, NW/KL doesn't offer competitive fares on these routes, but if they did....>>
I guess I feel that these second tier markets in China represent the next big opportunity so I applaud airlines that proactively establish themselves in them.
