Is her ticket upgradable? It only costs 10,000 JMB miles for an one-way transpacific upgrade right now. You two can sit next to each other in C if you have enough miles for the upgrade. I think it should be fine if you two switch seats, just inform the crew before you do so so to void any misunderstanding.
