We did this trip in October and were told to plan a minimum of 1.5 hours. We booked a connection right at 1.5 hours.

We were an hour late getting into HNL and made our connection okay but our luggage didn't make it. They have to transfer bags to a different terminal and the size of the original plane makes it impossible for them to do quick bag transfers.
