I think it is kind of strange they can't get on of their flagship flights out on-time.

I assume it arrives at least 3-4 hours prior to departure from Asia.

When I took it, we didn't even leave the Prime lounge until 10:45am or so (and the airplane was parked there when I got there at 8:30am). There seemed to be a lot of running around with paperwork. Once they closed the door, it took 20 minutes for them to get clearance to push back and another 30 minutes in line for take-off.

Fortunately we had non-existent headwinds that typically slow up westbound flights. We were only 15 minutes late but took-off almost 90 minutes late.

TK was also disorganized on my intra-European departure from IST to TLV. They used a bus gate and the last bus left the terminal at least 10 minutes after departure. Add to that 15 minutes waiting for clearance plus a bit more air traffic at the end of the runway. If this happens in the morning, one can see why there are delays 1 hour plus by the last flights in the evening.
