Wow I disagree. I have a Reserve card and the primary reason is to get a higher status for upgrades. But the second reason is because of the great Sky Club agents. Most of the time I go in there, it is to let the agents there take care of me. A couple of recent reasons:
1. In IRROPS they are quick and efficient and willing to do what it takes with little to no line.
2. When wanting to SDC I've gone to them and they've been willing to hold my BP and wait for the second the 3 hour mark hits and try to get me the seat.
3. I've had them custom build itineraries to maximize MQM and they've then just saved it to my profile for me to book it myself, saving me booking fees (which I guess I don't have to worry about anymore, but still).
4. I've had them even offer to call the gate and tell them they had a volunteer waiting if they needed to do a VDB on a flight.

I've never had someone tell me not to bring in outside food before. But then again, there is a sign reminding me of the policy, so I don't do that.
