It will improve if you remove the sand.

The last time I used the CCR was at T4 and it wasn't a patch on TG F lounge (with the spa) but I am sure that it must have changed for T5.

The plus points for TG, which I used last weekend (although I guess goes over and above just the lounge) were...

Porter service from the curbside
Hotel style seated check-in with
Accompanied through fast track passport by porter
Buggy from passport to spa/lounge
60 min oil massage
Fresh(ish) food cooked to order - on a par with my last CCR visit
Buggy from lounge to dep gate (I actually had a porter accompany me on to the plane and hang up my suit in the wardrobe)

And finally the fare - £2,300 return - which is a discount J fare on BA for that route.

I have to say I was deeply impressed and TG have stolen my premium class travel back and forth to BKK now.
I recently did all this too. The general ground handling by TG at BKK is excellent, as you describe, between curbside and plane, for both departing and arriving pax. But I tend to agree with Swanhunter about the lounge itself. Yes, the service is great, but the CCR looks much grander, has somewhat better food (although room for improvement), better newspapers and magazines, and vastly better drink. TG may have oscietra and Dom Perignon on board, but you're certainly not getting anything like Grand Annee in the lounge.

I think you will find that sadly the £2300 fare was a special offer, and not normally available. I took an advantage of it too - it was a no-brainer since I had planned a trip to Thailand anyway.

Why do you care about this in the slightest when you can just book a limo yourself? I've really never understood the excitement about airlines providing limos. Many F pax will have their own driver, or a corporate one, anyway. My hotel in Bangkok provided a first-class limo service (as any of the decent hotels would, I expect) and they can even be booked very rapidly at BKK itself in the baggage claim area. So given that you're going to be paying for it anyway through an increased ticket price if the airline provides it, what's the advantage?
