I'm having a hard time with this sentence. Why would you want 3K US miles if you'll never use them? Is it the having of miles that attracts you or the redeeming?
Personally I fly mostly Delta. But with 117K US miles banked the 3K Avis promo is tailor made for me
If you are an AA person then settle for the 1.5K from them and don't be swayed by the 3K promo for US. Aside from upgrade options, 24,999 miles each on 10 airlines is worthless. I know there are mile-stretcher opportunities on some airlines and 25K is not etched in stone. I just meant to use this as an analogy.
3K on US is not as good as 1.5K on AA if you never plan on parlaying that 3K into a US or *A award. My 2.5 cents. :P
